NEIL BRAVO

NEIL BRAVO

Director/Founder
A few months after he settled for good in Perth, WA, Neil silently created a website on a free hosting platform. He named it Philippines News Perth. About the only reason he did it was to keep himself in the "newsroom" -- a space he has breathed in for nearly four decades. Neil's career in journalism began in the campus as a high school editor. At 20-, he began writing professionally as a reporter for a news agency, Neil was thrown to mainstream media before he could even finish college. He was a multi-awarded campus journalist and held the position as editor-in-chief in both high school and in college. He wrote for Davao City's daily newspapers Mindanao Daily Mirror, Daily San Pedro Express, and Edge Davao while contributing as correspondent for Malaya and online portal SPIN.ph. Neil also dabbled in radio and television as commentator and analyst. To this day, he still holds the position as editor in chief for Edge Davao. Neil is a virtual toolbox. He is a one-man crew who can write scripts, direct, shoot behind the camera, do voiceovers and edit films by himself. Early in 2024, Neil decided to share the "newsroom" of Philippines News Perth to its current team. The rest, as they say, is history.
